What is Duino-Coin?
Duino-Coin is one of the only cryptocurrencies designed specifically for low-power devices like Raspberry Pi and microcontrollers. While mining Bitcoin or Ethereum on a Pi is completely impractical, Duino-Coin uses a proof-of-work algorithm called DUCO-S1 that is intentionally lightweight — making ARM devices like the Pi genuinely competitive miners.
How it works
The Duino-Coin miner runs on your Pi's CPU using the DUCO-S1 algorithm. It connects to the Duino-Coin mining pool and submits completed hashes in exchange for DUCO coins. The difficulty automatically adjusts for your hardware, so a Pi Zero 2 W and a Pi 5 both contribute meaningfully.
What you earn
DUCO coins are earned continuously based on your hashing contribution. Duino-Coin has a small but active community and DUCO can be traded on supported platforms. Earnings are modest but consistent given the low power draw of a Pi.
